Starting my 2nd week on XL-184 and unless I am really going crazy I think I actually have the drug.  Everyday I continue to get more and more symptoms and things get harder and harder.  I go back to U of P on Thursday so at least I'll be able to ask about some of the things going on, well I could send an email but figure at this point I would rather wait and just talk to them in person.

Some of the things going on are: well of course the GI symptoms but as I said before this has been part of my life for a couple of years now, we didn't know it had to do with the cancer but now we do so this is the one I have to keep questioning... Is it my calcitonin increasing or is it the meds?  Its worse everyday and now getting harder to keep under control with Imodium so want to lean towards it being the medicine.  Headache/back pain - normally I have headaches daily too but these are different, I rarely had back pain and now I have a lot of that...  Mouth sores, swelling or pain WOW this one is really crazy.  I don't see any sores but swelling and pain hell yeah, I can barely eat or drink it hurts so bad.  My tongue is on fire and the swelling appears to be going down into my throat (feel worse than I did after my surgery).  So this is the one symptom that really makes me think I am on the actual drug and not the "fake" one.  I didn't have anything wrong with my mouth, tongue or throat before I started the medicine.  So other possible symptoms I my have are: dry mouth, dry skin, swelling of hands/feet, tingling in hands and feet.

Who would have thought that someone would be so excited to get sick .

Other than the above nothing much going on.  I get tired a lot more so sorry to say I'll be home more often then not.  Please feel free to visit here and of course don't mind the mess, it is what it is.

Happy to thank everyone for the additional prayers to our friend Danny, keep them coming as he does have some more surgery ahead of him but at least things appear to be heading in the right direction for him.  He was just transferred to Temple so Joey and I are planning to visit him after my appointment on Thursday.

Thank you too for all of the love and support and prayers you continue to through my way.  Very much appreciated and keep them coming too.
